What solWARs is
solWARs lets two to four players stake SOL (or SPL tokens the operator allows) on an arcade match, and lets players enter score tournaments: Cups, run by the operator, and Token WARs, hosted by token communities in their own tokens. All stakes and entry fees are held by one escrow program on Solana. The game server runs the games and signs the results; the program pays the winners.
Fees
When a match has a winner, or a Cup pays out, a platform fee (shown before you accept or post a challenge, and capped at 10% by the program) is taken from the pot and sent directly to the operator account. There is no fee on a draw. Winnings and draw refunds are credited to you by the program when the result is recorded and stay there until you claim them with your wallet; claiming costs a small network fee that you pay. The fee that applies to a match is fixed when the match opens. Network fees and the small refundable rent for records are paid by you to the network. Token WAR prize pools pay no platform fee; their hosts pay a listing fee and may keep a host share of up to 10%, shown before you enter.
How money moves
- You deposit your stake into the escrow contract. The match starts only when every seated player has deposited.
- The game server's signed result decides the winner. Nobody, including the operator, can send escrowed funds anywhere except to the players of that match and, as the fee, to the operator account.
- A draw returns both stakes.
- If your opponent never deposits, you can cancel and reclaim your stake. If both deposited and no result is ever reported, both stakes can be reclaimed from the contract two hours later.
- If a player disconnects mid-match and does not return within 15 seconds, the match is forfeited to the other player.
Risks
- You can lose everything you stake. Matches are final once the game server signs the result.
- Token WAR tokens. Token WARs use tokens chosen by their hosts. solWARs does not endorse any token; a token's value, liquidity or controls can affect payouts.
- Smart-contract risk. The escrow program has automated tests but has not been audited by a third party unless the operator states otherwise. Bugs in contracts, wallets, tokens or the chain can lead to loss of funds.
- Server and network risk. Latency, dropped connections or server downtime can affect a match. Fairness measures compensate for typical latency but cannot remove it.
- Server trust. The result comes from the operator's game server. You trust it to run the game honestly. The escrow limits what it can do (it can only pick between the players of the match), but it can pick unfairly if compromised.
- SOLWARS (once live) is an in-game currency with no fixed value. Its price, if shown, comes from an oracle feed the operator selects and may be unavailable or wrong.
- Oracle data. The SOL/USD price is read from an oracle feed for convenience only. It does not affect what is staked or paid, which are always in exact SOL (or SOLWARS) amounts.
Your responsibilities
You must be of legal age and it must be lawful for you to play skill-based wagering games where you live. Rules about wagering differ widely and some places prohibit it. You are responsible for checking and for any taxes. Do not play if you are unsure. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose. If gambling is causing you harm, please seek support.
Conduct
Do not use bots, scripts, exploits, multiple wallets against yourself or any other method to gain an unfair advantage. The operator may block wallets from the game server. Blocking does not affect your right to reclaim funds that are already in the contract.
